Information you provide
When you run a calculator, we store the calculator type, the inputs you submit, the calculated result, and a timestamp. This helps us operate and improve the tools. Calculator inputs can include room or project dimensions, material options, allowances, and prices you enter. Do not put personal or sensitive information into calculator fields.
If you send feedback about a calculator, we store the calculator type, your selected feedback type, optional comment, and submission time. Feedback about a result is linked to that saved calculation so we can review the inputs and output. Do not include personal or sensitive details in your comment.
If you join the Cost Estimators or Quote Checker waitlist, we store your email address, which feature interests you, a signup timestamp, and your selected project type when that question is shown and you answer it. Joining a waitlist does not create an account.
How we use it
We use calculator records and feedback to deliver, maintain, and improve the calculation experience. We use waitlist details to track interest in planned features and send relevant launch updates. We do not use your waitlist signup to create a contractor lead. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Google Analytics to understand site traffic and improve the site.
Hosting and storage
In local development, submitted records are saved in a local SQLite database. The planned production deployment uses Cloudflare hosting and a D1 database. Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.
Retention and your choices
Calculator records, feedback, and waitlist signups remain stored until they are deleted as part of operating the service or in response to a request. There is no account dashboard for viewing or removing this data. To ask about a waitlist signup or request deletion of the email you submitted, email support@homecostai.com from the address used to sign up. Because calculator records do not have an account or email field, we may not be able to identify a particular record from a general request.
