FAQ

Quick answers before you calculate.

How accurate are the calculators?

They are planning tools based on measurements, common material coverage, and waste assumptions. Real quantities can change with surface condition, layout, and product specs.

Do I need exact measurements?

Exact measurements are best, but you can start with room dimensions or estimated square footage and refine the result later.

Can I estimate labor cost?

Not yet. These calculators focus on material quantities and, where you enter a price, material cost. Whole-project cost estimators are in development.

Which calculator should I choose?

Choose the main material you need to buy. For example, use the Tile Calculator for tile quantity, or the separate Grout and Thinset calculators when you need more detail on those materials.
